Foundry Foxes

Leicestershire Foundry Foxes is The Leicester Diocesan Guild’s group for ringers up to 18 years old (inclusive). It aims to bring together young ringers resident in Leicestershire to enjoy bellringing and other social activities with others of a similar age-group in a fun & safe way. Typically practices are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month, with special practices and/or social events on 5th Sundays.

On a 2nd Sunday practice we aim to ring up to basic Surprise Major, and as of the beginning of 2026 have started to ring the Ringing World Plain Minor Method of the month. Towers are selected to accommodate socialising out of the tower when not ringing, and to be as welcoming as possible for non-ringing parents and carers.

Our 5th Sunday specials to date have been special practices concentrating on specific methods and crazy golf. In the near future we hope to have a “night at the museum” event at Loughborough Bell Foundry and a quarter peal afternoon.

The group take part in the Ringing World National Youth Contest each year, and members are encouraged to take up opportunities to take part in Midland Young Ringers Events.
